The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.
SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed concerning the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher sassa range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The provider point here established for intervention experiences a large inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
For sassa status more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
